Job Description:

ROLE SUMMARY

Provide assistance to the Athletic Fields Groundskeeper and Director of Facilities for Regents School of Austin.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate vehicles and powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, chain saws, electric clippers, and pruning saws.

  • Mow or edge lawns, using power mowers or edgers.

  • Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls.

  • Athletic field painting.

  • Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes.

  • Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws.

  • Gather and remove litter.

  • Clean and maintain or repair tools, equipment, or structures, such as buildings, greenhouses, fences, or benches, using hand or power tools.

  • Mix and spray or spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, or trees, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders.

  • Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, planters, or other grounds features.

  • Set-up/take-down for events that may include tables, chairs, sound equipment, ect

  • Ensure a locked and secure campus

  • Able to work independently

  • Misc. duties as assigned

Experience and Skills:

 

SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Must be a Christian

  • Knowledge of irrigation systems helpful

  • High School Diploma / GED required

  • Valid Driver's License required

  • We will provide paid training
